Our Story

Abide Home Furnishings is more than a furniture business. It's something we're building together as a family.

Our journey began in 2021, selling baby items on Facebook Marketplace. What started as a way to earn a little extra income quickly grew into something we never could have imagined.

As time went on, we began selling larger liquidation items, primarily side chairs. Demand continued to grow, and what started in our two-bedroom apartment eventually expanded into truckloads of furniture across 11 storage units.

The best part wasn't how much the business grew. It was doing it together. We discovered how much we enjoyed working side by side, not only as husband and wife but also as business partners. Along the way, we had the privilege of serving thousands of local customers who appreciated honest communication, fair pricing, and personal service. Those years reminded us that what we enjoyed most wasn't simply selling products. It was working together and serving people well.

Eventually, we were led in a different direction, but we always found ourselves coming back to furniture. It's something we've genuinely enjoyed, and we were excited for the opportunity to build something together again. Abide Home Furnishings brings together our experience, our love for furniture, and our desire to serve our community as a family.

Today, we proudly serve Southwest Michigan with carefully selected furniture for every room of the home. Drawing from our previous experience, we've chosen to operate differently than a traditional furniture store. By working primarily online and by appointment, we're able to keep our overhead low, offer competitive pricing, and provide personal service throughout the buying process.
